My hope for you and your family is that this time of Easter is truly a happy one.
Today, in England, the sun is shining very brightly. It is completely glorious. We have had months of rather grey days and today I am hearing the birds chirping more intently and the glorious flowers are brigher and vivid within the green of the countryside. This sunshine is good for our spirits – we are joyously smiling.
For me, Easter is a time of simple reflection too – and a time for renewal. I thought that I would like to just pose a few questions to you with the idea that you might feel more renewed if you were able to let go of some aspects of your life that are holding you back. Whether you are going into Summer or Winter, new seasons mark a new start to something. So:
What are you loving doing now that you would like to be doing more of?
What is keeping you stuck? What are you telling yourself that is just burdening you with ‘I am not good enough’ or ‘I am not able’. Where does this story come from? If you did not have this ruminating thought, how would you be behaving now?
How would you act and be today IF you were that person that you envision for yourself – that best person, doing that thing that you long to do?
What would it feel like to just let go and completely forgive yourself for the things that you regret?
And, what is it that you would really like to do today? What are you doing when you are invigorated and excited? What really matters to you?
Who are the people in your life that uplift and inspire you? Who are the people in your life that would like the very best for you? Who would you choose to have as your ‘support’ team?
What tiny habit would be useful to start doing today?
And, what are the things about yourself that you actually really like?
How would you feel and behave if you truly backed yourself?
Is there something that you would like to learn? What if you just gave yourself the permission to get on and do it?
If you were your greatest life coach, your own greatest supporter, your own true friend – what would you be telling yourself now?
HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY Easter. May this time of year herald a season of new beginnings, letting go of the aspects of your life that are weighing you down and preventing you from doing all that you are so capable of doing.
