COMPLIMENT yourself … Notice the small actions that you are taking throughout the day and just pat yourself on the back for taking them. This is about being kind to yourself, speaking to yourself as you would to somebody who you care about.
I woke up this morning feeling rather ‘adrift’. There is so much that I want to be doing and it is the overwhelm that overtakes me, and then I just do very little! And then the very debilitating and unhelpful inner voice becomes very loud in my head.
I have found, instead of getting cross with myself and telling myself that I am being useless, that if I actively say ‘well done’ to a few things that I am doing, I can start feeling the momentum rising and I feel calmer to just keep going and doing what is important. As I start saying a few kind words to myself, I relax and the internal pressure loosens it’s hold.
