I so hope that this has been a good week and a week where you have been compassionate to yourself – and to others. Sometimes we are so hard on ourselves and others that we can make our week quite miserable. Have you been critical and berating to yourself? Have you ruminated over mistakes? Have you been judging yourself through a lens of ‘not good enough’ or ‘I can’t do this’ or ‘don’t deserve this’.
How would you be today if you forgave the stories, forgave yourself and forgave others for the hurts? How would you be if you just let it go and had a new story? FRIDAY is a good day to just forgive, to release yourself from the anger, the shame, the condemnation. Enter the weekend ready to rejuvenate, be with your friends and family, and rest in a way so that you are ready to go on Monday.
It is grace for yourself – and for others. It is so easy to add fuel to anger, to hatred, to condemn, to be bitter – and I wonder how it would be to understand that others are doing ‘their best’ in the moment but are also caught up in toxic thinking and sadnesses.
So today, I hope that you will give yourself some grace and pass on that grace to others. Do this for yourself. Unstick yourself from the burdens of sadness or anger. Release those resentments and aggravations and my hope is that you will finish this Friday with peace. Happy Friday forgiveness!
