Easter – a time of New Beginnings

HAPPY HAPPY EASTER.

We have had a wonderful Easter with very good friends, on their farm outside Johannesburg.  There was an abundance of rain, but this morning the sun was out again and we walked.  The air was clean, and given the usual dryness of the country side – all plants looked so green, so wonderfully saturated and with this, so able now able to weather the dry season ahead.

Easter eggs are about new beginnings.  A fresh start.  Easter is about knowing that we are so imperfect but yet able to keep striving for a new way of being.  Easter, for me, is knowing that I am so loved by God and He wants me to keep persevering, keep reaching on, and living in a way that honors Him.  This means living generously, courageously, honestly and wholeheartedly.  It means working with all that I have in terms of gifts.

Do I do this.  No.  Not at all.  But I want to.

But, when thinking about NEW BEGINNINGS in a gentle way, what could this mean for you?:

Being very aware about the stories that we continuously tell ourselves without considering what we are really saying – what would a refreshed version of our stories look like?;

Choosing a new habit that is nourishing to your spirit.  I am thinking about writing a few sentences in my diary each day, just reflecting on something lovely that I have noticed around me;

What if you really were all that you ‘dream’ of being.  What if you are already that person – how would you show up today – and  now?;

New beginnings can mean letting go of thoughts and habits that are destructive or of little real value.  Just let them go.  And take up good thinking, a good circle of friends, and creating a good space to be in.

New beginnings means knowing that you really can flourish – that you are able to ever evolve.  This is the miracle of how we have been made!  So, with this in mind, what are you going to challenge yourself with?

New beginnings is about giving yourself a chance to regroup, restrategise and to rethink this chapter of your life.

I hope that you are feeling curious, interested and a little bit excited.  May the possibilities come alive for you as you embark on this new week, new chapter, new mindset.
